There are two services that you need for a functioning website - a domain name plus a web hosting plan for it. Whenever you type the Internet domain in your web browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the website hosting account, but if that Internet domain is not linked to such an account or to an email service, it's parked. To put it differently, the Internet domain is registered and you're its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. Instead, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” page from the registrar company, or it could be forwarded to some other URL of your choice. The advantage of parking a domain is that you can keep it and be sure that nobody else will take it. Meanwhile, it will not take a slot for a hosted Internet domain inside your account. You may also park domains if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domains with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main website in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Hosting

If you buy a hosting plan from our company, you are going to be able to register as many domains as you want and park any of them with only a few clicks using your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Using our feature-rich Domain Manager instrument, you can choose from several templates and add your own text to any one of them. If you want to forward a domain, all it requires is to type the URL, save it, and you will be all set. You'll be able to un-park a domain and host it inside your account just as easily and our system will do all the required changes - update the domain address servers, set up DNS records for it, create a domain folder inside the File Manager section of your account, etcetera. In case you have a huge number of domain addresses registered through our company, you will be able to use a filter and check out only the parked or only the hosted ones for simpler management. Taking into consideration that you can park a domain only with its registrar company, you can use this function only for domains that are registered through us, but not through another company.
